Doug Croley, CPCU – President

Doug Croley is the owner and founder of Doug Croley Insurance Services.  He holds the prestigious Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and the Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) designations. 

Doug began his insurance career in 1978 when he was hired as a new agent by Nationwide Insurance.  He quickly became a top agent for Nationwide Insurance, winning Nationwide’s highest honor of President’s Club in his second year as an agent.  Doug has earned the President’s Club award seventeen times, and earner numerous other insurance awards.  Doug holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and his Master’s degree from The Florida State University. 

In 2009, Doug Croley Insurance Services became an independent insurance agency.  Although Nationwide Insurance is still one of the agency’s primary insurance markets, Doug Croley Insurance Services represents many other top insurance companies.  The agency specializes in Personal and Commercial insurance coverage lines, including Life insurance and Financial services.

Doug is a long time member of The Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce, the Economic Club of Florida and currently serves as County Commissioner in Gadsden County.  When not busy at the agency, Doug enjoys working with his herd of Angus cattle, hunting, reading and spending time with his family.

Dianne Croley – Chief Financial Officer

Dianne Croley joined Doug Croley Insurance Services in 1979 when Doug opened his first office.  Coming from an accounting background, she has always managed the financial side of the business and recently was instrumental in the installation of a new “state of the art” client management system that integrates the agency accounting system.  This new system allows Doug Croley Insurance Services to better serve our clients by allowing us to serve the needs of our clients more effectively. 

Dianne is a fully licensed Property and Casualty and Life insurance agent.  Along with managing the agency financials, she is also active in sales and service to agency clients.   Dianne’s philosophy of outstanding customer service has been an integral part to the success of the agency.  A graduate of Florida State University, Dianne is an enthusiastic Seminole supporter.  Her other interests are art, kayaking, country living and her family.

Mary Katharine Lawler - Vice President 

Mary Katharine Lawler holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Risk Management and Insurance from The Florida State University – one of the top ten insurance programs in the country.  During her time at FSU, she served as president of the Florida State University Insurance Society (FSUIS) and graduated with honors.  Mary Katharine holds the distinguished Associate in Risk Management designation from the Insurance Institute of America. 

After graduating from FSU, Mary Katharine worked as an insurance broker for Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., the fourth largest insurance brokerage firm in the world.  While at Gallagher, Mary Katharine won the Quality Producer Award and was selected as one of the future leaders of the insurance industry. 

In 2008, Mary Katharine returned home to Tallahassee.  The daughter of Doug Croley, Mary Katharine decided to rejoin the company in which she grew-up and first learned about insurance.   It is Mary Katharine’s intention to succeed her father as the owner of Doug Croley Insurance Services.

Mary Katharine is very involved in the Tallahassee community.  She is a member of the Leadership Tallahassee Class 28, Tallahassee Young Entrepreneurs Organization, Florida Association of Insurance Agents, Maclay School Alumni Board and the Junior League of Tallahassee.  Mary Katharine also participates in several business networking organizations and occasionally serves as a speaker for the Risk Management and Insurance program at The Florida State University.  She also oversees a program through Doug Croley Insurance Services that collects and distributes books for toddlers and preschoolers.

Mary Katharine is married to William (Will) Lawler.  Together they have a daughter named Meghan.

Angie Hearl - Vice President

Angela (Angie) Hearl began her insurance career as Office Manager for Douglas M. Croley Inc. in 1988 and became an Associate Agent and Vice President of the Agency in 1993.  She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Florida State University.  Prior to insurance, Angie worked as the Contract Administrator for the Tallahassee Housing Authority.  She holds her Property & Casualty license as well as Life, Health & Variable Annuities license.  During her tenure at Doug Croley Insurance Services, Angie has won awards for top Life Producer and top Property & Casualty Producer for the Agency.  She has also secured three levels of Life Underwriter Training Council certificates and taught Life, Health & Variable Annuities classes for students seeking their state license.  Angie is a member of the Northeast Business Association and a prior Ambassador for the Chamber of Commerce.  She is also a member of Wildwood Presbyterian Church and the Havana Country Club.  In her free time, she enjoys playing golf, watching Seminole sports and traveling.  Angie is married to Mike Mathers.

Clay Johnson – Agent/Broker

Clay Johnson joined Doug Croley Insurance Services in January of 2010.  He is a fully licensed agent for Property and Casualty, Health and Life insurance in Florida, Georgia and Alabama.  Raised on a working farm in Gadsden county Florida, Clay was engaged in the ornamental nursery business prior to joining the insurance profession.  Clay draws upon his background in agriculture to specialize in Agribusiness insurance.  He also specializes in general Business insurance and Homeowners insurance.  When not working on new accounts, Clay enjoys the outdoors, cooking and entertaining.

Jack Rivers, Jr., - Agent/Broker

Jack Rivers Jr. has been in the insurance industry since 1987.  He specializes in Life Insurance and Financial Services.  Jack is a native of Sneads, Florida and received a degree in business from Chipola Junior College where he played basketball.  He worked as an agent for Metlife for ten years and then as their branch manager for 5 years.   Jack is fully licensed in Property & Casualty and Life & Health insurance and holds the Series 6 registration.  In 2002, Jack joined Doug Croley Insurance Services where he specializes in the marketing of financial products such as Life Insurance, 401K retirement plans, IRA and Roth IRA, as well as, Florida Drop rollovers and Fixed and Variable annuities.  He is skilled at helping businesses with their buy/sell agreements and key man coverage.  Jack has been active in the Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary club.  He has also served as a board member, coach, vice-president and Safety and Compliance Officer for Chaires Little League Park.   In his free time, Jack enjoys playing ball, hunting and fishing with his two teenage sons

Mary A. Croley – Agent/Broker

Mary began working for Doug Croley Insurance in 1985.  She specializes in personal and commercial insurance, as well as, life insurance.  Previously she worked as a full-time Real Estate Agent and continues to hold that license.  Mary is known for providing detailed service to her clients and is very active within our community.  In her free time, she enjoys playing golf, traveling and spending time with friends and family.  She even made a hole in one during a round of golf at the Quincy Golf Club!

Susan Phillips – Sr. Personal Lines Specialist Susan M. Phillips joined our agency team in 1981.  During her career at Doug Croley Insurance, she has handled numerous agency responsibilities.  Susan is fully licensed in both Property and Casualty and Life and Health insurance.  In 2003, Susan successfully launched and continues to administer our Coastal High Valued Homeowner Division.  Susan enjoys using her expertise in insuring coastal exposures to help her clients insure the home of their dreams.  In her spare time, she enjoys water sports and fine art painting.

Angela Parrish - Sr. Commercial Lines Specialist

Angela Parrish joined Doug Croley Insurance Services in 1997.  She first worked in our personal lines division and later moved into the commercial department.  She is now the commercial accounts manger and handles the larger, and often complex, accounts.  She enjoys the diverse nature of working in the commercial lines department and the challenges that come with it.  Angela is a native of Gadsden County and lives in the Havana area.  She enjoys reading and spending time with her family and friends outside of work.

Glenda Hufstetler – Personal Lines Service Manager

Glenda Hufstetler is a resident of Thomasville, GA and has been employed with Doug Croley Insurance Services since 2003.  She holds both Georgia and Florida Property and Casualty Licenses and has been in the Insurance industry since 1993. Glenda currently serves as Personal Lines Manager for the agency and specializes in Homeowner and Dwelling coverages. She enjoys Community Theater and is a member of Thomasville On Stage and Company and is also a member of the First Baptist Church of Thomasville.  Her hobbies also include painting, exercise and interior design.

Jan Brouwer - Customer Service Agent

Jan joined Doug Croley Insurance Services in 2007 in the receptionist position. She obtained her Customer Service Representative license and was quickly promoted to customer service for both the Commercial Lines department and the Personal Lines Coastal department.  Jan has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from University of Central Florida. In her spare time, she loves working in her garden and spending time with family. She also enjoys photography, tennis & boating.

Ann Pincus – Customer Service Agent

Ann Pincus has 22 years of insurance experience and has been with Doug Croley Insurance Services for 6 years.  She is a fully licensed Property and Casualty agent and also holds a Life and Health insurance license.  Ann enjoys working with clients to solve problems and to make sure their insurance needs are met.  In her free time, Ann enjoys reading, decorating, movies and spending time with her family.

Shellie Simmons – Customer Service Agent

Shellie Simmons joined Doug Croley Insurance in 2006 where she obtained the Customer Service Representative License.  She services the Personal Lines Department where she enjoys building relationships with her clients to better service their insurance needs.  Shellie is a native of Tallahassee, FL where she attended Florida State University and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Multinational Business Operations.  In her free time she enjoys cooking, movies and decorating.

Andrea Bright – Customer Service Agent

Andrea Bright began working with Doug Croley Insurance Services part-time in the fall of 2007 while completing her bachelor’s degree from Florida State University.  Having graduated in 2010, Andrea continues to work with Doug Croley Insurance Services.  She is a licensed Customer Service Representative.  Andrea is an active member of CRU at FSU and has a passion for photography.
